Proudfoot is pleased to announce a new leadership for our European, Middle East, Africa and Asian (EMEAA) Natural Resources practice. As Proudfoot is responding to the significant changes in the Global marketplace, with whole industries and markets changing, along with organizations, we are reflecting the importance of thinking Global while acting local. We are excited to welcome Neil Maslen to our global leadership team along-side a new and exciting role for Helder Santos.

Neil has recently joined Proudfoot to lead the Natural Resources practice across EMEAA, which has created an opportunity for Helder Santos to transition his focus to lead the EMEA Industrials practice. We know our client’s will benefit from the strength these leaders both bring to business value creation in the new reality. This team is leading the way – new thinking, new insights, and one thing won’t change, – great results for our clients. Further, faster, together.

Neil has sat on both sides of the desk and is both an experienced CEO, and Senior Advisor.  He holds a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and as an International executive possesses a unique combination of advisory, corporate, and private equity experience across diverse industries and locations; Mining, Metals, Petro Chemical, Retail and Aviation industries, within Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Neil has more than 20 years of experience in defining, realizing and managing complex business transformations for multinational organizations. As a corporate executive, he was most recently the CEO of Office Depot Europe, where he led large-scale operations, involving complex supply chain, and a large people dynamic.

Known for his energy, passion, strong leadership, and ability to get the job done, described as “having an uncanny knack of slicing through the noise to find a workable, practical solutions.”
